Lauren Eads
Having worked as our managing editor, Lauren Eads is now a contributor to the drinks business. She joined the title in 2014, initially as its news and web editor.
A communications graduate and NCTJ/NCE trained journalist, Lauren worked as a news reporter at two local papers before joining the drinks business, her previous title being chief reporter of the Wimbledon Guardian.
While exposing council corruption, championing community heroes and chasing down criminals proved to be brilliant training, local news was not as captivating as the world of wine.
While at db she completed level two and three of the WSET wine and spirits qualification, passing both with merit, and recently completed her level 4 WSET diploma.
In 2016 she was shortlisted in the category of Emerging Wine Writer of the Year in the Louis Roederer Wine Writer Awards.
Her favourite things include eating, drinking and cooking, in that order, preferably in the sunshine with friends.
