AC Milan teams up with sports stars’ Tequila brand

Cincoro Tequila, which is co-owned by a number of leading US sporting figures, has been named as an official partner of Italian football powerhouse AC Milan.

Cincoro Tequila, so named due to its five founders, all of whom were figures in the NBA, including Michael Jordan, has recently attracted further investment from the likes of former world number one tennis player Serena Williams, baseball big hitter Derek Jeter, and golfers Dustin Johnson and Keegan Bradley.

The new “friends” of the brand were brought in to aid Cincoro’s global expansion, and Italy is set to be the agave spirit’s next destination.

The first step in this arrival in the Apennine Peninsula is Cincoro’s partnership with one of the most successful clubs in Italy, and indeed in Europe, AC Milan.

As part of the deal, Cincoro will be served during events at the San Siro stadium, where both AC Milan and city rivals Internazionale play, though the partnership is only with the former.

The club’s chief commercial officer Maikel Oettle said that AC Milan was “incredibly excited” about the partnership: “This collaboration will undoubtedly elevate our brand’s prestige on a global scale, connecting the elegance of Milanese culture with the sophisticated allure of Cincoro.”

“Launching Cincoro Tequila in Italy has long been a goal of ours and we’re thrilled to finally bring Cincoro to premium spirits aficionados in Italy,” said Cincoro co-founder Emilia Fazzalari. “This extraordinary partnership allows us to introduce Cincoro’s rich and delicious taste to discerning Italian consumers and international travellers alike.”

The brand has also announced its intention to expand in other European markets, including the UK, France, Greece and Spain.
