The colossal golden bottle, which stands at 2.1 metres tall and holds 250 litres of vodka, is on display at Stansted Airport until 24 June.

“Our goal was to bring something different to the drinks market, a piece that goes beyond traditional advertising,” said Au Vodka’s managing director Charlie Morgan, who first shot to fame as the ball boy who was kicked Eden Hazard during a Swansea versus Chelsea game in 2013.

“The world’s biggest bottle of vodka at Stansted isn’t just a display; it is a statement of our brand’s scale and our ambition to stand out in the global vodka market.”

Among the backers of the brand, who is pictured in the promotional shots of the bottle, is DJ Charlie Sloth.

The bottle is also up for auction, with the starting bid at £150,000. A 700 millilitre bottle of Au’s original vodka has an RRP of £34.99, making the giant bottle, which holds around 357 times as much, around 4,287 times more expensive.

One previous holder of the record for biggest vodka bottle was Polish brand Chopin, which created a 200l bottle of spirit.

Au Vodka has become something of a global hit, achieving major gains in travel retail recently. The brand also shot to prominence when it reportedly paid influencer Jake Paul US$250,000 to get a tattoo of a bottle on his bicep.

The Au Vodka bottle is still smaller than the world’s biggest whisky bottle, which smashed the £1 million barrier when it was auctioned.
