Stoli’s new distribution deal
Exclusive UK distribution rights for premium Russian vodka Stolichnaya have been given to The Edrington Group. The agreement between The Edrington Group and the SPI Group, owners of the vodka brand, was made last week and will come into effect no later than 5 January 2009.
Stolichnaya, the UK’s fastest-growing vodka brand will join the portfolio of premium spirits brands that are distributed by Maxxium UK, a company which is jointly owned by The Edrington Group, Beam Global Spirits & Wine and Rémy Cointreau. Maxxium UK will distribute the traditional ‘red’ Stoli as well as all the other brand’s variations in the UK.
Huw Pennell, managing director of Maxxium UK, said: "This is a complete win-win agreement that provides significant benefits to Maxxium, Edrington and SPI Group. The addition of a premium international vodka was a key strategic priority for the business and Stoli is precisely the sort of iconic brand that complements our existing portfolio.”
