Game, set and match for Lanson

Lanson has launched a chill-sleeve in the green and purple of Wimbeldon’s tennis championships to celebrate the Champagne’s position as the official supplier to the tournament. The new look will feature at the sporting event and in UK supermarket Waitrose, while Lanson are also unveiling a sampling bar in World Duty Free at Heathrow’s Terminal 3, where historic Wimbledon finals will be shown.

“We have been closely associated with Wimbledon since 1977,” said Paul Beavis, managing director of Lanson International (UK).

“Our recently repackaged wines will be available throughout all nine bars and hospitality marquees in the grounds and are very much a part of the event.

“This year we have a tailor-made gift presentation for the Lanson Black Label Brut NV, which is wrapped in a chill-sleeve created in the famous green and purple of The Championships. Waitrose stores will be featuring these throughout the month of June through until the close of The Championships in July.”

“Additionally this year we decided to take a little of the ‘Wimbledon experience’ to London Heathrow, where those setting off on their travels can feel very much at home, sampling Champagne Lanson in Terminal 3 at a special bar in World Duty Free where they can enjoy watching footage of some of the most memorable Wimbledon matches ever, with icon players such as John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, Martina Navratilova and Boris Becker being shown playing at previous Wimbledon finals.”
