Princess enjoys the Chivas life
This weekend’s Snow Golf Championships in St Moritz will be the first appearance for Zara Phillips MBE under a new sponsorship deal with Chivas Regal. The two-year agreement includes appearances for Phillips at a number of the Scotch whisky brand’s events around the world.
Chivas Regal’s brand director, Sophie Gallois, explained that Phillips “embodies the aspirational lifestyle that Chivas Regal consumers respond to”.
Phillips, World Equestrian Games gold medallist but self-confessed “golf novice”, commented that the tournament, and “a few days in St Moritz will be a great start to my new year”. As Gallois explains: “The high quality golf on offer is rivalled only by the great evenings to be had in the glamorous venues of St Moritz.”
The championships, consisting of nine holes played on compacted and frozen snow, take place near the Corvatsch mountain in Switzerland. This year will be the 29th year of the event, one the whisky brand’s Chivas Life series of events.
Commenting on the deal, Phillips said: “I am delighted to be announcing my new sponsorship with Chivas Regal and I am really looking forward to attending their luxury events.”
