Year-long fairytale for Campari
Campari’s 2008 calendar stars Eva Mendes, and is described as “an adult, glamorous and glossy story book” in which the actress is the protagonist in 12 fairytales. Photography on this year’s calendar, which was launched yesterday in Milan, was by acclaimed fashion photographer Marino Parisotto.
In addition to Mendes in the guise of characters such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and The Little Mermaid, as well as extras like princes and beasts from each fairytale, each image features Campari in some way.
The 2008 calendar, the ninth in the series, will have a second launch in Miami in December. The calendar, limited to 9,999 copies, is distributed worldwide.
Fashion photographer Parisotto explained his vision for this calendar, saying: “Fairies and witches have always been female protagonists in a man’s world, and they are also the first with whom a man must contend during his infancy.”
