Hine hits half century
Hine has recently launched its 1957 vintage, of which only five casks were originally laid down to mature. The 50 year old Grande Champagne Cognac was matured in the 18th century cellars below the company’s offices in Jarnac.
This vintage Cognac is available on allocation in a number of international markets such as the US, Japan and Russia, selling for £250 per bottle. In the UK it is available from Fortnum & Mason, The Ivy, Le Caprice and Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons via Paragon Vintners. Coincidentally, Hine’s new distributor in Italy, Rinaldi, was founded in 1957.
