VSPT earns place on Chile’s best paying companies

Chilean wine producer Viña San Pedro Tarapacá Wine Group (VSPT) has earned a place on the list of the country’s best paying companies.

The firm, which is one of the world’s top 20 wine producers, made the list of 58 best paying companies in Chile, which was based on an overall sample of 12,500 public and private sector organisations.

The Commodities Exchange, the Association of Entrepreneurs of Chile (ASECH) and the El Mercurio newspaper awarded the recognition.

The second version of this award analysed payment behaviour between 1 July 2023 and 31 June 2024, across thousands of public and private sector companies.

The select group of 58 organisations qualified as best paying companies by standing out within their economic sector and/or on general payment parameters, based on most suppliers, lowest average discount rate, shortest overall payment term, highest amount paid on invoices and shortest notification period.

The Commodities Exchange and ASECH developed the scoring system to select winners based on official data from the invoices furnished to the Commodities Exchange.

It follows the company also being identified as one of the 25 best companies in Chile to develop a career on LinkedIn in 2022, which praised its excellent working opportunities and growth within the company.

It demonstrated significant progress in terms of benefits and initiatives in the evaluated topics. These ranged from inclusion policies, study grants, climate measurement, the possibility of continuing work from abroad, mixed work modality for positions that allow it, and other aspects which strengthen the sense of belonging and permanence of company employees over several years.

VSPT CFO Vicente Rosselot said about the latest award: “Paying our suppliers on time is a matter of accountability toward them.

“We want them to develop, too, and cash flow is important to them. When you process payments promptly, I believe you support suppliers, and they can grow.”
