What is the UK’s top summer cocktail, according to Pinterest?
Social media network Pinterest has uncovered the top 5 summer cocktails users in the UK are searching for this season, with one Spanish drink getting significant traction.
Pinterest searches for ‘summer cocktails’ have risen 40% over the last three months, the platform found in its annual trends report.
‘Cocktail party’ searches were up by even more, increasing by 60% as people look to enjoy drinks in the sunshine.
But what will Brits be sipping this summer?
Searches for Sangria have doubled in the last three months, meaning the Spanish red wine-based punch topped the list of summer cocktail searches this year.
Pinterest’s top five favourite cocktails among UK users were:

Piña Colada (+70%)
Pimms (+70%)
Aperol Spritz (+30%)
Mojito (+25%)

Pinterest’s annual trends report for 2024 also revealed a 70% increase for ‘pineapple mocktails’ as the popularity of alcohol-free options continues to rise.
Tropical vibes took centre stage for food, drink and decor in this year’s report. Boomers and Gen Z are driving this escapist aesthetic which included increased searches for crushed pineapple upside down cake (+50%), coconut aesthetic (+35%), Hawaiian traybake chicken (+35%), tropical chic décor (+110%).
