Is this the best Guinness beer garden in the world?

Diageo’s Open Gate Brewery in Dublin has reopened its beer garden, giving visitors the chance to try experimental brews in the sunshine.

The beer garden, located at St. James’s Gate in the centre of the city is attached to the brewery’s taproom which will offer limited-edition small-batch beers brewed on-site alongside a new casual dining menu.

The upgraded outdoor area has, according to local reports, been opened to the public following a complete refurbishment and now includes with lots of space for beer fans to enjoy food and drinks with friends during the summer season. Inside, the taproom has also had a new fit-out and features a window that allows visitors to see into the brewery.

The beer garden area will feature a new limited-edition seasonal beer menu which will change throughout the year with small-batch brews from the on-site brewery which can’t be sampled anywhere else.

The first brews available will reportedly include the Crane St pale ale, a watermelon spritz and an Irish whiskey-flavoured stout. There will also be a range of Guinness beers available as well as spirits, soft drinks and non-alcoholic variants.

Additionally, a ‘tasting paddle’ will be available which will offer up a selection of beers to try while seated in the beer garden. To add to the atmosphere of the setting, murals along the beer garden walls have been created by Holly Pereira who is a long-time collaborator of the brewery.

The beer garden at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery will be open from Thursdays through to Saturdays from 1pm to 9pm.
