Hollywood A-lister Margot Robbie’s gin brand Salt Papa will launch in the UK in June exclusively at Harvey Nichols.

Robbie launched Salt Papa in her home nation of Australia in 2023, having teamed up with four friends to create the Papa Salt Coastal Gin brand.

Now, the star of The Wolf of Wall Street‘s gin is set to launch in the UK exclusively at Harvey Nichols, available in stores and online from Thursday 20 June.

Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley, Margot Robbie, Regan Riskas and Charlie Maas teamed up to develop the liquid over five years. According to a press release put out by the brand, its founders were looking for something that makes a classic dry martini and mixes well with soda water, in addition to the staple gin and tonic.

Papa Salt was developed in partnership with the Lord Byron Distillery in Byron Bay, Australia, zero-waste facility that operates on renewable energy.

The recipe contains Australian botanicals like wattle seed, wax flower, and oyster shell. Papa Salt is distilled in small batches on 1200L copper alembic pot.

Papa Salt’s initial run in the Australian market in 2023 sold out within 48 hours. The brand has since quintupled its capacity to continue meeting the increasing demand.

Charlie Maas, co-founder and CEO of Papa Salt, said of its debut in the UK: “We are so excited to bring Papa Salt to the UK market. We fell in love with gin in England’s wonderful pubs, clubs and bars, and we hope Papa Salt is a refreshing addition to the wonderful spirits culture of the UK.”

Papa Salt Coastal Gin is available across Australia and New Zealand and distributed through DrinksOne in the UK and will be available to purchase exclusively through Harvey Nichols (RRP £39.95), in-store and online.
