Big Chouffe magnums hit Waitrose stores next month
Duvel Moortgat has revealed that its 2024 collector’s edition of Big Chouffe will become available via Waitrose stores from 5-18 June.
The limited-edition, magnum sized bottle will be stocked both on shelf and with Waitrose online to make the most of the run up to Father’s Day.
This year’s bottle features unique art illustrations by renowned Belgian comic book author Michel Constant, depicting La Chouffe’s beloved gnome mascot, Marcel.
Big Chouffe magnums will each be filled with the Belgium blond beer La Chouffe – the first beer to come out of Chouffe Brewery vats 40 years ago.
According to the brewery, the flavours of the beer open with spicy notes and hints of citrus, followed by the refreshing aroma of fresh coriander, giving the beer a floral feel, which is complemented by a hint of banana and a long finish.
Big Chouffe has been especially-designed to be shared with friends and family and, as such, has been positioned as a gift. Each bottle of Big Chouffe will retail at £14.
Another brand variant from the same brewery saw Cherry Chouffe being rolled out across Waitrose and Booths supermarkets as demand for non-IPA beer styles increased among consumers.
Last summer, Duvel Moortgat revealed that its non-alcoholic variant of La Chouffe would also become available in Asda stores and stated that this was due to “a significant increase in the demand for non-alcoholic beers”.
