Brewer flung back across brewery by sheer force of beer
Video footage of a brewer being thrown across the room by a furious stream of IPA has gone viral this month.
The incident, which happened at Back Channel Brewing Co in Minnesota, shows Brendan Babcock getting knocked off his feet when a torrent of beer escaped from a valve and hit him in the face.
Babcock, who is then seen getting back up to attempt to stop the geyser of beer hitting him in the face was then joined by other employees who rushed to assist, but were to hang back when they realised the force of the beer.
The brewery has since confirmed that Babcock survived the ordeal with no injuries, but did not say whether he helped himself to a pint afterwards to recover from the beer attack.
A limited batch of what is now being considered to be a powerful beer, has been appropriately named Blow Back and is now on sale on draught at the brewery tap.
As beer fans took to the comments on the video, with one who stated: “This is hands down the best advertisement I’ve ever seen,” while another added: “Reminds me of the scene where Shrek fights all of the knights and breaks the beer barrels open.”
