‘On Wednesdays, we drink pink’: the Global Rosé Masters are back

Or to correct this Mean Girls movie inspired quote, rosé can be drunk every day, of every season. Our rosé-focused competition is your chance to make your wine stand out among an ever-growing competition. Enter before 16 April.

“My name is rosé, and I am a massive deal” – sure, these are not exactly Reneé Rapp’s lyrics to the recently released Mean Girls musical movie. But with one in ten bottles of wines consumed being rosé in 2021 (source: Wine Intelligence), we can safely say pink wine has conquered the world and is no longer just a summer drink nor a by-product of red wine.

Pale to dark pink, bone dry to almost cloyingly sweet, unoaked to barrel-aged, still to sparkling – there’s little you won’t find from rosé producers. And if France remains the number one producer and creates stellar examples, last year’s Global Masters competition proved that outstanding rosés are made all across the globe, with award-winning wines from Italy, Australia, Spain, New Zealand, Austria, and Romania.

Now is your chance to join one of our most extensive competitions: the Global Rosé Masters 2024 focuses on identifying the best pink wines around the world, in every style and price range. Entries are open for another three months and results will be published in the June issue of the drinks business magazine and online.

Make fetch happen (in other words: win a medal) and enter the competition here before April 16

Entries cost: £159 ex VAT
