In addition to the Sager + Wilde wine bar, which has a highly extensive wine list with an emphasis on producers from France, Italy and Spain and a sizeable selection of orange/skin contact wines, there is also a Sager + Wilde restaurant nearby on Paradise Row.
On Instagram, Sager shared: “I’m excited to announce that I’m launching a wine bar in Victoria Park Village, called Bar Bruno, in honour of my father. It’s a secret from him for now, so if you’re familiar with him, please keep it under wraps as a surprise.”
“Since moving to Victoria Park in 2016, I’ve always dreamt of a cosy place like this in the village,” he continued. “It’s thrilling to finally have the chance to bring this dream to life and add something unique to the area.”
In a subsequent Instagram post, Sager shared that Bar Bruno, situated on Lauriston Road next to The Deli Downstairs, would be “a teeny-tiny wine bar and shop” and that it will open later this month. Details concerning the new bar’s focus are yet to be revealed.
On the Bar Bruno Instagram account, a snap of Bruno himself was shared:
