Sarah Jessica Parker hones her blending skills
The Sex and the City star celebrated the fifth vintage of her Invivo X SJP wine with a blending session in her home city of New York.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Invivo co-founders Tim Lightbourne and Rob Cameron came together at the Loews Regency New York Hotel on Park Avenue for a tasting and blending session to celebrate the fifth vintage of their joint venture Invivo X, SJP Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Sarah Jessica Parker is known for being hands-on in creating the wine and the actress reflected on what she has learned over the past five years immersed in the wine world.
“With experience comes the ability to reflect on previous years and challenge ourselves to build on the structure, complexity and sophistication of our signature style,” said Parker.
“Our final 2023 Sauvignon Blanc blend has an incredible fragrance with perfectly balanced flavours of guava and citrus rind. We are excited for our customers around the world to try it, and we care deeply about their loyalty to this wine.”
Fantastic quality
Rob Cameron recognised Sarah Jessica Parker’s “palate, passion and experience at the blending table”, and praised her contribution to the process.
“Sarah Jessica has grown massively in her skills and experience at the blending table and her reflection of previous vintages is invaluable,” he said.
“The 2023 vintage was of such fantastic quality and this year’s wine is definitely one of our best yet.”
Invivo X, SJP was founded in 2019 by SJP and is now the number one fastest growing New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc in the US$15+ category in the US. The range also features a French Rosé.
New Zealand wine is currently enjoying record sales to the US with approximately US$500 million of NZ wine exported to the US in the last 12months, according to New Zealand Winegrowers.
Invivo X, SJP is now available in 18 countries including USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, Caribbean, Turks and Caicos Islands, Samoa, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Andorra/Spain, Finland, Greece, Holland, Norway, Sweden and Ukraine.
