Masters medal-winner Terra Organica launches into Sainsbury’s

Pioneer ethical brand Terra Organica, which was recently awarded at the drinks business Prosecco Masters, is launching into Sainsbury’s.

The vegan-friendly Prosecco sees the brand’s producer-partner Botter works closely with organic growers to manage vineyards in an intensely sustainable way, whilst ensuring total respect for the environment and local biodiversity.

The blend is fermented in small batches to ensure a superior depth of flavour and texture, whilst the winery is run entirely on renewable energy. Recently, its quality impressed judges at the 2023 drinks business Global Prosecco Masters, where it was awarded a Silver medal.

Rosie Williams, Sparkling Wine Buyer at Sainsbury’s said that “the consumer demand for sustainably made wines continues to increase and it’s important that our offering reflects this”.

The brand has experienced a “recent surge in sales as the demand for ethical and sustainable wines grows”, commented Richard Dennis from brand-owner Watermill Wines. “It’s encouraging for us to see more and more consumers switching to quality organic wines, knowing how much more positive it is for the environment.”

The full Terra Organica range spans seven organic wines sourced from Italy, Spain, Argentina and most-recently a Picpoul de Pinet from France, with the full range available from Ocado and Amazon.

Terra Organica Prosecco DOC 75cl is available nationwide in Sainsbury’s superstores priced at £12 per bottle.
