TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference unveils social schedule
The social programme for TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference 2023, hosted in Singapore next month, has been announced to the industry.
The much-anticipated event, which takes place from 7 – 11 May, welcomes attendees from all over the world to Singapore, with networking opportunities being one of the key reasons for its popularity.
This year’s event, which returns to a full-scale format, is due to offer a wealth of opportunities for formal and informal meetings with all delegates and exhibitors gaining free access to the social events.
The Welcome Cocktail begins at 7.30pm on Sunday evening and takes place at the Flower Dome located at the Gardens by the Bay. From 9pm, guests will have the chance to enjoy exclusive night-time access to the Flower Dome’s display of over 32,000 plants.
TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge, held in partnership with Qatar Duty Free, is set to welcome delegates on Level 4 of the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from 5pm-9pm on Monday 8 May, and from 6pm-9pm on both Tuesday 9 May and Wednesday 10 May.
This year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge occupies a larger space and features a balcony from which delegates can enjoy views across the bay along with drinks and snacks served courtesy of sponsors: Heineken, Korea Ginseng Corp, BlackBall, Duty Free Global, Brown-Forman, Crafter’s, Mondelēz International, Wonderful Pistachios, Perfetti Van Melle, and Valrhona. On Wednesday evening, the festivities shall conclude with a live music performance.
In addition to the social programme, many exhibitors have also chosen to use their exhibition floor space this year as a key area to conduct meet-and-greet events as well as host official meetings.
Using TFWA’s ONE2ONE meeting service, which organises introductory encounters between exhibiting brands, key buyers, airports, cruise and ferry operators and airlines, delegates are invited to make acquaintances and forge new relationships.
TFWA president Erik Juul-Mortensen said: “We are looking forward to connecting again with friends and colleagues in Singapore. The social programme is so important in giving participants the chance to network in a relaxed atmosphere, away from the bustle of the main exhibition and conference. I would like to thank all partners and sponsors helping enable this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference.”
Qatar Duty Free vice president Thabet Musleh added: “After a long absence, Qatar Duty Free is excited to be back in Singapore at TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference 2023 and delighted to continue its long-standing partnership with TFWA as the main partner of the TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge. It is always an honour to support events that bring key aviation and travel retail industry members together to connect and discuss future collaborations.”
