Anson to leave Thresher
Thresher Group has announced that trading director Alex Anson will leave the company early in the 2007 to join Swiss travel retail giant The Nuance Group as buying director Europe. He will be replaced by Lloyd Stephens, who is currently employed by Gallo Wines as UK sales director.
Anson began his career in the drinks trade performing a number of roles at Tesco, including buying manager BWS. He joined Thresher as trading director wines in 2003, and was promoted to trading director last year. He joins Nunace – the world’s largest travel retailer in terms of both sales and geographical spread – as the company aims to further develop its global category management strategy.
