Could Asian-inspired liqueurs be the next big thing?

Emulsified beverage developer Creamy Creation has brought to market a new range of Asian-inspired cream liqueurs and alcoholic drinks.

The new lines, which have been inspired by classic regional beverages, flavours, spirits and cocktails across Asia, are set to appeal to consumers both in Asia and world-wide.

Speaking of the drinks, Creamy Creation global innovation manager Jeroen Huiskes said: “Our concepts range from standard dairy to fermented dairy-based, plant-based and vegan. These concepts feature popular and classic Asian ingredients and flavours such as: Ume, Peach, Yuzu, Yoghurt, Matcha, Soy and Coconut.”

The new concepts from the company include: Ume Plum Yoghurt, in a liqueur as well as a low ABV sparkling ready-to-drink version; Royal Milk Tea Liqueur; Café Latte Liqueur and Banana Milk Liqueur.

Additionally, the drinks developer has also introduced its award-winning Shōchū Yuzu Cheesecake Liqueur; Vegan Soy and Vegan Peach Soy Liqueur as well as Coconut Liqueur; Matcha Coconut cocktail and a Mango Coconut cocktail, available in low ABV ready-to-drink variants. Each of the concepts can be fully customisable using local favourite flavours and spirits such as Soju, Baijiu, Sake and Shochu.

Creamy Creation was established in 1979 and has production facilities in both the Netherlands and US. The business recently found success in its concepts in the Asian Spirits Masters, where the Creamy Creation Shōchū Yuzu Cheesecake Concept won a Gold medal for its “lime notes, cheesecake base, and lovely creaminess on the palate.”
