Millésime Bio prepares for 30th anniversary fair

Millésime Bio, the world’s leading organic wine exhibition, will be marking its 30th anniversary with a digital session and a physical fair early next year.

The digital session, on 23 and 24 January, will give attendees from across the globe the chance to interact with 500 or so exhibitors and exchange contact details ahead of the fair itself. There will also be a preview of the winners of the 2023 Millésime Bio Challenge, the 16th edition of the largest international competition for organic wines and beers involving the judgement of 2,000 wines and 150 beers.

As for the physical fair, held from 30 January to 1 February at the Montpellier Exhibition Centre, that will include some 1,500 exhibitors from 20 countries. Alongside the event, visitors
will be able to attend self tastings or curated tastings, several themed conferences and a number of masterclasses spread over the three days.

New for this upcoming edition, there is also:

  • A dedicated area for Young Winegrowers representing the new wave of producers for the coming 30 years.
  • The findings of the European study CSA/Millésime BIO on consumers’ relationship with endorsements that have emerged over the past 30 years.
  • The first appearance of the bulk sector at the fair.
  • An event for the public outside of the exhibition centre, showcasing organic wine in the city of Montpellier.

Nicolas Richarme, chairman of SudVinBio, the marketing organisation for organic winegrowers in the Occitanie region (France’s largest organic wine region) and organisers of Millésime Bio, succinctly summarised what the fair will offer: “An exhibition like Millésime Bio is where you find the future of wine”.
