Ferrari Trento set for a flying start to 2023

Ferrari Trento has remained in pole position throughout 2022, with the sparkling wine producer’s 120th anniversary being marked by several major milestones for the company.

In the spring, it emerged that, though the brand shares its first name with that of a supercar, it is far from a gas-guzzler, achieving carbon neutral status, as certified and compensated by ClimatePartner.

In June it was announced that Ferrari Trento had secured an extension to its contract as the official celebratory sparkling. This season some 76 jeroboams were sprayed in F1 and 24 in the W Series (the all-female single-seater racing championship). It is also believed that some 60,000 bottles of Ferrari Trento Brut were served to guests at the Grands Prix.

Furthermore, a series of unique bottles, autographed by winning drivers, were put up for auction on F1 Authentics. So far, £30,000 has been raised for the Red Cross, aiding victims of the invasion of Ukraine.

At the 10th edition of the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships, the company retained its title as Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year. CEO and president Matteo Lunelli said: “Trentodoc presents itself with a strong identity and personality, with over a century of history and a unique style. Mountain is key for the elegance of our wines, as the warm days and cold nights we have bring a great finesse and a rich bouquet of aromas to our Chardonnay.”

This strong streak continued when, in October, Ferrari Trento leapt from 61st to 11th place to win the Highest Climber Award at the World’s Best Vineyard Awards, held in Mendoza, Argentina.

Matteo Lunelli was also awarded EY Italian Entrepreneur of the Year by the jury for “his commitment to bringing Italian excellence to the world, tackling the growth path of a family-run business rooted in the territory, with courage and constant commitment in the search for quality and attention to detail, making the most of talent, between tradition, innovation and sustainability.”

With plenty of new opportunities already lined up for next year, including the Grand Prix coming to the Las Vegas strip, it seems that Ferrari Trento is sure to extend its lead even further.
