Young & Co has appointed Christopher Sandland as non-executive chairman. Sandland has been with the firm for 32 years; he replaces John Young, chairman of 44 years, who passed away last month.
The former head of sales at Young’s, Paul Davis, joined new ice and fruit company, frecco, as sales and marketing director last month.
InBev has promoted Stuart MacFarlane to the newly created positon director global customers, based in Brussels, effective January 1.
Claire Summersby has been promoted to head of marketing for PLB. The position was previously held by Pamela Dunn.
Britvic marketing director Andrew Marsden is the new president of The Marketing Society. Marsden has worked for Britvic since 1997.
Spier has restructured its business, to bring its various wine and leaisure activites under a single organisation, Spier Group. It will be headed up by former Winecorp CEO Vernon Davis.
Dr Thandi Ndlovu has been named as the new chairperson of SAWIT, the South African Wine Industry Trust. Mike Ratcliffe, Warwick Wine Estate’s MD, is Ndlovu’s vice-chair.
Reh Kendermann has named Roman Barvulsky as its new export director. He has previous experience of building export markets for German brands with Jägermeister.
Vassilka Spassova is the new European brand manager for Hess Group Wine Distribution. Her main responsibility will be central and eastern Europe.
