Rémy Cointreau launches The Botanist Hebridean Strength Gin
Rémy Cointreau is launching its first travel retail exclusive gin at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference this week in Cannes.
The Botanist Hebridean Strength Gin, which will be a travel retail exclusive brand will weigh in at 51.5% ABV and has been created in Islay at the Bruichlddich distillery.
The new gin will be added to the group’s extensive spirit and liqueur brand portfolio, joining other brands in Cannes including: Bruichladdich, Cointreau, Mount Gay rum, Metaxa and St Remy brandy and Rémy Martin and Louis XIII Cognacs.
At the show, The Botanist master distiller, Adam Hannett, will lead tastings, while Metaxa brand ambassador, Aris Chatziantoniou, will be serving up Metaxa cocktails at the group’s Marina Village booth.
Rémy Cointreau’s return to the show this year has seen it invest in doubling the floorspace of its exhibition booth to over 350sqm and yet showcasing it with a sustainability in mind. For instance, the group’s commitment to using responsibly-sourced timber along with reusable and recyclable items, low energy LED lights and water-based paints goes some way towards showing how it has evolved to become more conscientious. Additionally, Rémy Cointreau has partnered with Tree-Nation to fund the planting of 1,000 trees, to support reforestation and offset its carbon emissions to attend the event.
Speaking of the group’s return to Cannes, Rémy Cointreau CEO Global Travel Retail Worldwide, Adam Hamzah said: “We look forward to reconnecting with the industry in person to drive visibility of our brands through an innovative year through new launches and retail excellence”.
The Botanist Hebridean Strength Gin Will be available at the airports of Frankfurt, Hamburg, Berlin Brandenburg, Amsterdam, Munich International, Copenhagen, Vienna International, Sydney and Istanbul retailing at £49.99 per 70cl bottle.
