19 Crimes launches its first sparkling wine with Snoop Dogg

Treasury Wine Estates-owned 19 Crimes has launched its first sparkling wine – a continuation of its partnership with iconic US West Coast rapper Snoop Dogg.

Hot on the heels of Snoop Cali Rosé and Snoop Cali Red (which has now launched in the UK) comes 19 Crimes’ third release in partnership with Snoop Dogg, Snoop Cali Gold.

The new release also marks 19 Crimes’ first sparkling wine expression.

The theme of the launch centres around partying and celebrations, or as Snoop Dogg himself put it, an “O.G. party vibe”.

Snoop Cali Gold features a black bottle with gold labelling adorned with an image of the hip hop artist, while augmented reality (AR) technology gives fans the opportunity to hear Snoop Dogg rap his iconic track “Who Am I (What’s My Name)?” from the seminal ‘Doggystyle’ album.

Remarkably, it appears that Snoop Cali Gold has already sold out on the 19 Crimes website, though the bottle is available for purchase from retails at an SRP of $17.99 for a 750ml bottle.

Snoop Dogg said of the new wine:

“We wanted something cool with that O.G. party vibe and I’m hyped to add Snoop Cali Gold to my 19 Crimes collection. This sparkling wine has a fun, fresh feel to it that people will enjoy. Let’s get it poppin with Snoop Cali Gold!”

Global Vice President 19 Crimes Franchise added, “We couldn’t be more ecstatic for Snoop Cali Gold. This is an especially celebratory launch, arriving on the heels of an incredibly successful year for 19 Crimes. It has been a pleasure to work with Snoop on this new wine and welcome the first Sparkling to his existing lineup.”

Snoop Cali Gold is a 12% ABV sparkling wine comprised of 10% Muscat Alexandria, 26% White Riesling, 28% French Colombard and 36% Mixed White grapes.
