Ginger Fox Games makes wine and spirits map jigsaws a must-buy
Ginger Fox Games has licensed drinks jigsaw business Puzzle CRU to bring its hand-drawn wine and spirit map jigsaws to a wider audience.
Ginger Fox Games, the company behind the Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Taskmaster board games, has taken Puzzle CRU, formerly known as Bamboozled, to new heights in a short space of time and created three new wine puzzles along with slightly tweaking the whisky jigsaw.
Puzzle CRU’s hand-drawn wine and spirit maps in jigsaw form are the brainchild of Rebecca Gibb, one of only 418 Masters of Wine in the world and is on a mission to help wine lovers explore their favourite wine regions or go-to whisky distilleries from the comfort of their own homes.
The jigsaws have been heralded as an entertaining and educational way to learn more about favourite distilleries or go-to wine regions with a glass in hand.
Puzzles within the range include: The Wines of France (1000 pieces) priced at £17, The Wines of Italy (1000 pieces) priced at £17, The Wines of Spain and Portugal (1000 pieces) priced at £17 and The Whiskies of Scotland (500 pieces) priced at £12.
Speaking to db, Puzzle CRU founder Rebecca Gibb MW, said: “The original inspiration came to me in 2016 when I was doing a jigsaw of a map and wondered if anyone had ever done puzzles of wine regions. The answer was ‘no’. Cue the birth of my wine jigsaw puzzle range, which experienced an huge boom in sales during lockdown. Ginger Fox saw its potential and thanks to them, Puzzle CRU now has an expert team of games gurus to grow the business further and take it to new markets. It’s launching in the US and Australia, as well as the UK.”
Gibb explained: “It’s often daunting buying wine as a gift for wine lovers, Instead of buying yet another decanter or gadget that gathers dust at the back of the kitchen drawer, a wine puzzle is a thoughtful and mindful gift. And for all those wine students taking WSET or CMS courses, this is makes a fun but educational break from the books.”
Ginger Fox games Ltd sales manager Sally Mason added: “It’s not very often you get to work with a master of their field and when we met with Master of Wine; Rebecca Gibb, we were won over by her unique experience and knowledge. The Puzzle CRU brand was developed with Rebecca’s expert insight, and we knew that the product and concept would be the perfect pairing for our customers.”
The jigsaws can be purchased from Amazon and www.gingerfox.co.uk as well as UK retailers including Waterstones, Booths and Easons and are positioned as ideal gifts for wine and spirits lovers. The jigsaws and will be available to buy now so that people can stock up for Christmas.
