Tesco urges customers to throw away range of beers over safety fears
Supermarket giant Tesco urges customers to throw away a range of beers, warning them over fermentation fears.
Tesco customers are being urged not to drink and instead safely throw away beers from Vocation Brewery’s Vocation Lower Altitude Table Beer 4 x 330ml range, over concerns that “fermentation” may cause the cans to swell and burst. All best before dates are affected by the warning.
Any customer who has purchased the beers has been told not to drink the beers and instead take a photograph of the cans before “disposing of them safely”.
The photograph can be used in store at Tesco customer service desks to receive a full refund. No receipt is necessary.
“Vocation Brewery has recalled all batch codes of its Vocation Lower Altitude Table Beer 4 x 330ml” Tesco said in a notice to customers.
Tesco customers who would like more information are advised to contact Vocation Brewery at hello@vocationbrewery.com, or by phoning 01422 410810.
Last year, an urgent recall of Bright Brewery’s Pineapple Dream Nitro Milkshake Ale was issued at independent supermarkets across Australia over fears the cans might explode. You can read more on that story here.
