Wine company offers $10,000 per month pay plus your rent covered to work in Sonoma

After the quite astonishing success of its campaign last year to entice the top talent in wine to Sonoma County, Murphy-Goode wine company is offering successful applicants some $10,000 per month pay plus your rent covered for this year’s dream job.

Wine company offers $10,000 per month pay

Yes, having received some 7,200 applicants for its viral “A Really Goode Job” campaign last year, Murphy-Goode winery is back on the hunt for employees – boasting an enviable salary package and perks.

Once again, successful applicants will become the envy of all, the beneficiaries of a heady package of perks including a $10,000 per month salary, vineyard-front, rent-free accommodation for a year in Healdsburg, and a year’s supply of Murphy-Goode wine.

“After receiving an incredible number of applications for last year’s ‘A Really Goode Job,’ it was a no-brainer decision to replicate it this year,” said Dave Ready Jr., winemaker at Murphy-Goode winery.

“We hope to again see a diverse pool of candidates inside and outside the industry, in our backyard and beyond. Living and working in this beautiful part of the world is a true gift, and we relish the opportunity to share that with someone who is passionate about breaking into wine.”

Last year, the successful hire spent 90 days shadowing winemaker Dave Ready Jr., before working with the company to establish their chosen path within the wine industry. It appears that Murphy-Goode intends to follow the same formula this time round.

Veronica Hebbard and Lindsay Perry, the two successful candidates from last year’s campaign, will continue to work at the winery once their current one-year dream job posting comes to an end.

“It’s been amazing to be able to grow my passion and expand my wine knowledge with hands-on experience from the Murphy-Goode team. I’ve been able to leverage skills from my previous career as an engineer to help Jackson Family Wines pioneer innovative sustainability initiatives to forever change the future of wine,” Hebbard said. “Had it not been for this incredible opportunity, I would have never had the courage to follow my heart and pursue a career not only as a woman in STEM but a woman in wine as well.”
