Ferrari launches limited edition F1 fizz
Fizz producer Ferrari Trento has launched a limited edition blanc de blancs to celebrate its position as the Official Sparkling Wine of Formula 1 motor racing.
Being officially unveiled at of the Gran Premio d’Italia 2021 at Monza on 12 September, the new cuvée has a special look featuring four of the top Grands Prix in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
As for the wine itself, The Ferrari F1 Limited Edition is a Blanc de Blancs Trentodoc, made using Chardonnay from the mountain-side vineyards of Trentino-Alto Adige, where the Ferrari brand’s parent company, the Lunelli Group, have extensive landholdings.
The sparkling wine has been matured on its lees for 38 months and is said to have flavours and aromas of ripe fruit, bread and hazlenuts.
Traditional method Trentodoc, Ferrari, is Italy’s best-selling sparkling wine.
