Four Pillars appoints new trade managers
Australian gin producer Four Pillars has announced two new trade managers to its global trade team.
Claire Kewney (pictured above) and Albane Corbi have joined the Four Pillars global trade team. Kewney will be responsible for driving growth and distribution for Four Pillars in the UK, Europe and Africa and for growing the brand’s footprint in more markets including Ireland, Germany, Spain and several central European markets. Previously, she was in charge of International Brand Development for Edinburgh Gin at Ian MacLeod Distillers. Prior to this she spent almost a decade at leading global drinks producers Beam Suntory and Diageo.
Corbi joins Four Pillars from Singaporean distribution company Carus Global, bringing with her more than 12 years of experience in the beverage industry, including in positions at Pernod Ricard in Australia and France. She will be responsible for all markets across Asia, including growth into North Asia and a clear focus on the brand’s established strongholds in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
The two new Trade Managers will report to Four Pillars global trade director, Mark Lawton, who joined the company in late 2019. Lawton will continue to report to co-founder Stuart Gregor. Lawton commented: “We’re thrilled to have Claire and Albane join the team as Four Pillars enters a new phase of global growth. Having their experience and knowledge in their respective markets will help us to further focus our global trade strategy and deliver commercial outcomes for the business across these markets, as well as the global travel retail sector, whenever it might return……”
According to Four Pillars, despite the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the distillery delivered a strong year in Financial year 2020/2021 with UK and Europe delivering 82% growth, and Asia delivering 121% growth.
Four Pillars is currently available in more than 25 markets across the world, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Cambodia, Japan, UK, France, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, USA, Canada and the UAE.
