Mulled wine festival launches in Covent Garden
Covent Garden businesses are putting the festive back in festival this year with a fortnight of mulled wine and Christmas frivolity taking place across multiple venues.
The Winter Warmer fortnight will be hosted across Covent Garden’s cafés, restaurants and bars, bringing over 100 varieties of festive tipples to warm your cockles this Christmas.
The fortnight of festivities began on 10 December and will run until Christmas Eve, with mulled wine, hot toddies, hot chocolate and teas being sold to take away and enjoy.
Pop-up stalls from Dirty Martini, The Oystermen and Provence rosé brand Mirabeau have been welcomed into the piazza with fresh twists on classic Christmas tipples like the Tanqueray Spiced Cranberry and Clementine Punch, and the Johnnie Walker Ginger Toddy.
Other local sites joining in with their own offerings include Balthazar, Frenchie, Sushisamba, Mariage Frères, Ladurée and La Goccia.
Covent Garden has included a map on its website marking all the places involved in the winter festival, to help you navigate the Christmas crowds and offer the best hot drinks with a view of the iconic Covent Garden tree to offset the seasonal shopping stresses.
