Sherry gets hip with Croft in a can
With wine in cans and RTD serves growing in popularity, Sherry maker González Byass has responded with the launch of Croft Twist – a fino spritz in a can.
Inspired by the Rebuijito cocktail – a refreshing blend of fino Sherry and lemonade typically enjoyed during the feria season in Andalucia – Croft Twist combines Croft fino with natural elderflower, lemon and mint cordials, and sparkling water.
The 5.5% ABV ready to drink fino spritz comes is housed in a slimline 250ml can with a teal, green and cream floral design inspired by William Morris wallpaper.
Described by its makers as “a refreshing apéritif with a British twist”, the spritz was created in response to increasing demand for Sherry serves in a long format.
“We are seeing a new younger audience discover our brands, and they are drinking Sherry in new ways. They love cocktails and told us they wanted Sherry in a long drink in a convenient format,” said Helen Yates, Croft Twist brand manager at González Byass UK.
“Croft Twist offers a winning combination of convenience, lower alcohol and less than 150 calories per serve – it is also suitable for vegans.
“With the current buoyancy in both the Sherry and RTD categories, we are confident that Croft Twist ticks all the right boxes,” Yates added.
Croft Twist comes packs of 12 cans, and has an RRP of £2.50 per can.
