Grands Jours de Bourgogne tasting rescheduled
The Grands Jours de Bourgogne tasting has been reorganised to take place in March next year.
The large biennial tasting, which normally welcomes some 3,000 people from 53 countries, was due to be held from 9-13 March, was postponed on 2 March as the Covid-19 pandemic began to take hold.
The event’s organisers have announced new dates for the tasting, however, and it will now take place from 15-19 March 2021.
Raphaël Dubois, president of the Grands Jours de Bourgogne, explained: “After having considered all possibilities for rescheduling and taking into account logistical constraints…, waiting a year was clearly the most realistic option.”
He continued: “Our longstanding partners, the Bureau Interprofessionnel des Vins de Bourgogne, the Conseil Régional de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the Conseils départementaux de Côte d’Or, de Saône-et-Loire et de l’Yonne, as well as our sponsor, Crédit Mutuel, have guaranteed us their support for the event in 2021.
“We hope that our glassware partners, Schott-Zwiesel, Verrieres de Bourgogne and Espace Réception, will be likewise.”
The event will take place shortly before next year’s ProWein, which should hopefully allow visitors to link the two events together.
The tasting will then continue to be held every two years, with the following event in 2023.
