Duckhorn changes UK agent
US winery Duckhorn has consolidated distribution of its entire range in the UK with Top Selection.
The producer has moved its entire range of labels, including ‘Decoy’, ‘Goldeneye’, and ‘Migration’, from across Napa, Sonoma, Central Coast California and Washington from The Wine Treasury to Top Selection.
Top Selection has already been working with Duckhorn’s ‘Calera’ brand for several years now.
Export director, Brian Bostwick, said: “We feel the time is right to consolidate our distribution in the UK. Duckhorn has ambitious plans for the UK market, particularly growth across the range within the premium on-trade and off-trade.
“Top Selection has a proven presence in these channels and the team has impressed us with the work they have been doing with Calera.”
Top Selection’s chairman, Ákos Forczek, added: “Interest and appreciation of premium Californian wines in the UK market is on the up and you need look no further than Duckhorn for examples that illustrate the terroir driven quality and diversity of styles coming from the west coast. We look forward to working with Brian and the team to build sales of the brands in the UK.”
The range will be available in its entirety from 1 March.
