Highland Park offering $117k Viking ship package
Scotch whisky distillery Highland Park has built a Viking ship as part of a full package designed for tailgating at US sporting events – and it’s available to buy.
Dubbed the ‘Highland Park Ship & Sip’, the distillery has one ship up for grabs, which can be tailored to suit the buyer’s tailgating preferences.
The ship is being particularly marketed towards fans of the NFL team the Minnesota Vikings – who are not directly affiliated with this initiative although the franchise and Highland Park do have a partnership.
As well as a fully stocked bar, drinking horns and even a real horn to blow in celebration of scoring drives, the ‘Ship & Sip’ package also includes a bartender and whisky butler to prepare and serve your drinks when you first choose to take the ship to the pre-game tailgate.
Although the ship is a notable upgrade on the more usual practice of simply using the back of a pick-up truck it comes with a sizeable price tag; a US$117,980 price tag to be precise.
But at least you get to keep the ship afterwards and it comes equipped with high resolution television screens making it a potential place to view other games if you can’t make the stadium.
