This hotel in Hong Kong has opened a women-only speakeasy bar
Luxury hotel Rosewood Hong Kong has opened a ladies-only speakeasy bar, with views of the harbour and a bespoke cocktail menu.
This is the second bar the hotel has created since opening its door this March, the first being After Darkside, a jazz bar serving up rare aged spirits and classic cocktails, and now XX – a boudoir speakeasy with entry strictly for ladies only.
Hidden in a secluded spot in the hotel, XX will only open to female guests who have the secret access code given to them upon reserving a place.
The “intimate space” offers a terrace overlooking the harbour and its own drinks menu.
The cocktails have been crafted by the hotel’s director of bars Arkadiusz Rybak, and include a Champagne cocktail mixed with jasmine, bergamot and London No.3 Gin and “BFF”, a crisp and citrusy highball cocktail with pine needles, cucumber juice and yuzu vinegar.
On top of cocktails, the bar also serves light bites like mini lobster roll and homemade chips.
Open from Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm, reservations are required.
Address: 18 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong
