Sotheby’s offers up ‘bumper’ June sale
Sotheby’s next London sale being held from 12-13 June is presenting a bumper crop of over 1,000 lots of fine Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne.
Ten decades of first, second and classed growth from Bordeaux, including 34 lots from the 1982 vintage, 73 from 2000 and 137 from 2005 in a variety of formats lead the Bordeaux consignments.
There are also some rarities in the form of 1945 Tortanoy, 1947 Latour and 1961 Petrus.
Among the Burgundies are 1985 and 1999 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti La Tâche, 1999 Clos de Tart and 1999 Musigny from JF Mugnier.
There are also 2005 and 2015 wines from the likes of Faiveley, Fourrier, Jean Grivot, Robert Groffier and Ponsot.
Champagne meanwhile is represented by 1990 Dom Pérignon, 1996 Dom Pérignon ‘Oenothèque’, 2002 Bollinger Vieilles Vignes Françaises and Salon.
Elsewhere there are also lots comprising 1959 Hermitage La Chapelle from Jaboulet, 1982 Vega Sicilia ‘Unico’ and 1997 Harlan Estate.
