The Coral Room celebrates English Wine Week with Bolney Wine Estate
The Coral Room, which offers one of the most extensive English sparkling wine lists in Europe, has joined forces with Bolney Wine Estate to offer a flight of their wines in celebration of English and Welsh Wine Week.
Taking place from 25 May to 2 June, English and Welsh Wine Week is organised by industry body Wines of Great Britain (WineGB).
The Coral Room, winner of the ‘Best English Wine List’ at the Wine List Confidential Awards which took place earlier this month, is offering a flight of three of the Sussex winery’s award-winning wines.
The flight includes Bolney Bubbly, NV; Cuvee Rose, 2016; and Blanc de Blancs, 2016.
A grand and vibrant salon bar in the centre of London’s Bloomsbury, The Coral Room boasts interiors designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studios. Recently nominated for Best Interior at The GQ Food & Drink Awards 2019, the distinctive coral coloured walls, five stunning bespoke Murano glass chandeliers and beautiful fused glass and marble topped bar echo the building’s iconic, hedonistic heritage.
Offering one of the largest English sparkling wine lists in Europe, the bar is overseen by general manager Giovanni Spezziga who formerly headed up Scarfes Bar at the Rosewood London.
The wine list has been created by Master of Wine and wine educator Anne McHale. During her career in wine she has worked for companies including Mistral Wines, New Zealand Wines and most recently for 10 years with Berry Bros & Rudd.
A third-generation business founded in 1972, Bolney makes red, white and rosé wines, both still and sparkling, which are all produced from grapes grown and hand-crafted at its Sussex vineyard.
Led by chief winemaker Sam Linter, the estate has recently appointed Robin Warren-Adamson as business development manager. Warren-Adamson was previously commercial manager at Cambridge Distillery. Helen Chesshire, formerly of J.F Hillebrand, has also recently joined the wine estate.
Priced at £27, the flight of wines will be available until Sunday 2 June.
