BI and Pol Roger UK to launch new Glenfarclas whisky trilogy

Leading merchant BI has partnered with Pol Roger UK to distribute a new whisky collection in the UK.

This follows the global launch of the Glenfarclas trilogy at the Nth Whisky Show, which took place in Las Vegas, April 2019.

The Glenfarclas Trilogy Collection is an exclusive collection of 3 vintages:

1989 – 27 Years Old – 2nd Fill Oloroso Sherry Casks
1996 – 20 Years Old – 3rd Fill Oloroso Sherry Casks
2002 – 14 Years Old – 4th Fill Oloroso Sherry Casks

Each whisky was chosen at 46% abv, the preferred alcohol strength of the Grant Family, owners of Glenfarclas Distillery since 1865.

Commenting on the launch, Richard Ellis, Spirits Buyer, BI Wines & Spirits said: “It has taken over 12 months to bring to life but we were focused on showcasing the sherry cask. We wanted to delve deeper into its use and to subsequently demonstrate that there is a world beyond 1st fill sherry casks.”

“The Glenfarclas spirit is a wonderfully versatile liquid and it seemed like a perfect opportunity to show people 3 whiskies, all very different, but all unmistakably Glenfarclas,” he added.

Housed in Glencairn crystal decanters, the trilogy is being sold in sets of 6 bottles (1 x 1989, 2 x 1996, 3 x 2002) at £2200 per collection of 6 bottles. Just 1200 sets are available.
