HK masterclass to showcase wines of Japan

A masterclass on the wines of Japan is set to take place on Friday 9 November at 10am in Hong Kong’s Renaissance Harbour View Hotel.

Grace’s Misawa Vineyard in Akeno, Yamanashi

The event is timed and located to make attendance as easy as possible for visitors to the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair, which takes place at the Hong Kong Convention Centre from 8-10 November, just a few minutes walk from the Renaissance Hotel.

And the masterclass promises to be an eye-opening experience, featuring the best wines from Japan’s dynamic domestic wine industry – a source of unique grapes from extraordinary sites.

Not only that, but the event will introduce attendees to the perfect partners for Japanese raw-fish cuisine, along with more challenging dashi flavours that can overpower the classic wines of Europe.

So, if you are looking for something novel and delicious to make your list stand out from the crowd, then come along and find out why Japan is the new source of fine wines to watch, and the go-to country when sashimi is on the menu.

The masterclass is free to attend, and designed for members of the wine trade only. Please register your interest by contacting Sophie Raichura on email at sophie.raichura@unionpress.co.uk or call +852 3488 1008.
