Final call for the World Gin Masters- Asia 2018

the drinks business Hong Kong is now taking the final entries for our inaugural The World Gin Masters 2018 – Asia in an effort to find and reward the finest global gin brands currently available in the Asian market.

According to reports, by 2021 global gin volumes are forecast to reach 40 million cases with top markets such as the US, Spain and the UK driving the growth. In Hong Kong, gin is also riding wave with more gin-focused cocktail bars opening up in the city such as Origin and Ping Pong 129.

The World Gin Masters 2018 Asia competition will be chaired by a panel of 10-12 judges including leading spirits specialists and buyers in a wide range of categories including Standard, Premium, Super Premium, Ultra Premium, London Dry, Navy Strength, Old Tom, Cask-Aged, Contemporary, Genever, Flavoured Gin, Sloe Gin, Microdistillery and Organic.

Winning gin brands will be awarded Bronze, Silver and Gold medals with those examples deemed truly exemplary in any category or price point having the chance to be awarded a ‘Master’. The Gold and Master winners will then be judged for the overall title of ‘Grand Asian World Gin Master 2018’.

The official registration deadline is 12 September 2018 and the sample deadline is 17 September 2018 . For each entry, we request two samples. If you would like to enter please contact john.duffy@thedrinksbusiness.com.

The results will be published in the drinks business Hong Kong print edition, online on The Spirits Business website and the drinks business Hong Kong website as well as all the social media platforms and our weekly English and Chinese language newsletters.
