The house of Bollinger has announced the arrival of La Grande Année Rosé 1999. This rosé Champagne is derived from the vintage La Grande Année, produced only in years when the harvest is exceptional. The summer of 1999 experienced extreme weather – plentiful rain combined with heatwaves to contribute to a high-quality harvest. This La Grande Année Rosé was made using old oak casks, remaining faithful to traditional production methods. This Champagne is available only in limited quantities, and will therefore only be stocked in selected fine wine merchants and prestigious hotels and restaurants.
