Roberson Winery opens doors to locals
Roberson Wine’s urban winery, London Cru, is opening its cellar doors to the public this week and offering a free tasting.
Aimed at local residents and businesses in particular, the tasting will have a spring-theme and is a chance for the West-Brompton-based winery to show of its new range of all-English wines (the winery is only making English wines from the 2017 vintage onwards) as well as its new tasting room and events space.
The winery began testing the concept last year and the tasting this week marks the first of several more open cellar evenings this year as Roberson opens it up further to the community.
Talya Roberson, managing director of Roberson Wine, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to get to know our local community better. Last year’s Open Cellar Door tastings were a great success and we’re hoping to keep building and meeting more of our neighbours this year.”
“We are especially excited to be welcoming locals in the West Brompton/Fulham area to show an exclusive pre-release tasting of the winery’s latest vintage, an English Chardonnay 2017, which is a deliciously different take on a popular grape variety.”
The cellar door tasting is being held on Thursday 22 March and all local residents will receive 10% off purchases made at the shop.
