Bottega opens wine lounge in South Korea
The Italian wine producer Bottega has opened a lounge in Seoul, South Korea, offering a range of wines, spirits and liquors, the company has announced.
Located in the upscale Gangnam-Gu, known as the ‘Beverly Hills’ of Seoul, the opening of the boutique shop in the swanky neighbourhood is expected to attract wealthy locals and tourists.
“The presence of a prominent Bottega lounge in this context helps to strengthen the image and the fame of the company throughout the Asian country,” Bottega commented on the opening.
The lounge, opened in collaboration with the company’s local partner, offers guests opportunities to taste a selection of Italian Prosecco, Amarone della Valpolicella, Brunello di Montalcino, grappa and liqueurs.
Italy at the moment ranked as the fifth biggest wine importer for South Korea behind Chile, Spain, France, and the US.
Earlier last month, Bottega also made inroads in mainland China with its official launch at Shanghai Pudong Airport, making it the only Italian wine brand available in the airport.
