Signature Brew named UK’s best brewery business
An East London microbrewery has been named as the UK’s best brewing business by the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA).
Signature Brew, famous for collaborative projects with bands and artists such as Enter Shikari and Rodney P,was the majority favourite standing out for its “fresh ideas, keen business acumen and genuinely unique approach to running a brewing business”, according to a spokesperson.
In addition to winning the top accolade of Brewery Business in the Year, Signature also picked up an award in the Marketing Implementation category.
“This is just huge recognition that our idea for what we wanted the brewery to be was a good one,” Tom Bott, director of Signature Brew, said.
“For people to recognise our vision to get quality craft beer into independent music venues and spread our message is amazing and we’re thrilled it struck a chord with judges.”
The awards were presented last night at BeerX UK 2018 at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool by Radio 2’s Nigel Barden, who will also host the SIBA Independent Beer Awards tonight.
Signature is famous for its collaborations with musicians, most recently releasing a bourbon oak-infused golden ale called “Live Up!”.
