Champagne Mumm to unveil Cordon rosé during Art Central in Hong Kong
Champagne Mumm will unveil the ‘Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé’ during Art Central in Hong Kong next month, a wine that is designed to “challenge the conventions of traditional rosé Champagne”, the Champagne house claims.
A blend of Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay, the rosé is described as “lively and refreshing” with Pinot Noir dominating the blend, comprising 60% of the grapes used selected from the Champagne house’s most prestigious villages by Cellar Master Didier Mariotti.
The wine is aged two years in the cellar, and released with a minimal dosage of 6 grams per litre.
Champagne Mumm will also host a Media X Mumm Art Exhibition during the Art Central event scheduled from 27 March to 1 April. This year the Media X Mumm initiative will introduce urban graffiti artist, Bisco Smith, who is known for his ‘visual freestyle’ which blends graffiti deconstruction, gestural abstraction, and lyric based style-writing.
On the sideline, there will also be the newly added Media X Mumm beach club and the popular Harbour Party during the six-day art festival.
