The museum is called Gu Shi Hui (谷事会) which in Chinese alludes to the commonly used beer ingredient, grain – as Gu means grain in Chinese – and celebrates anything related to beer especially crown-top bottle openers.
According to China Daily, there are more than 2,000 crown-openers from 70 countries on display at the museum, made from different materials and at different time periods. In addition, beer drinking utensils and other beer brewing equipment are also on show.
The museum was founded by the Wuxi Vollywood Cultural Tourism Company, Wuxi Gushihui Cultural Development Corporation and College of Bioengineering of Jiangnan University, according to the report.
Responding to the growing craft beer trend, the museum has exhibits about craft beer equipment as well, supported by the College of Bioengineering of Jiangnan University.
