Non-Exec Role For Carson

Christopher Carson will retire from his role as chief executive officer, Constellation Europe, within the next six months.

Carson, 58, will continue to lead Constellation Europe until a new CEO is appointed. Following his retirement from the CEO position, Carson will become non-executive chairman of Constellation Europe, for a period of two years.

Dan Townsend, currently UK trading director, Constellation Europe, will take on the newly created role of European trading director with immediate effect. Townsend will be responsible for all sales and marketing for Constellation Europe’s wine and water portfolio. He was previously the managing director of Constellation Europe’s wholesale division, Matthew Clark, where he led significant growth in sales and distribution.

Townsend will be supported by Peter Spencer who takes the role of senior vice president, UK sales, wine.
