1950s rock ‘n’ roll pub to open in London
Forget about partying like it’s 1999, a new rock ‘n’ roll pub in north London called Be-Bop-A-Lula wants to transport you back to the 1950s.
As reported by the Evening Standard, Be-Bop-A-Lula in Stoke Newington will boast a jukebox, slot machines, old-fashioned televisions and regular live music.
Punters can chow down on Little Richards (mini pork sausages in honey mustard), BB King ribs, Fats Domino pizza and Chick Berry chicken burgers.
Intrepid foodies can brave the Elvis Sandwich, rammed with mashed banana, peanut butter and bacon.
The pub will feature diner-style booth seating and walls plastered with 1950s posters, while a rack of old guitars will be strung up above the length of the bar.
Weekly Rock ‘n’ Roasts sessions meanwhile, pair rock ‘n’ roll tunes with your Sunday lunch.
Be-Bop-A-Lula is brought to you by the same owners as the Alfred Hitchcock-themed North By Northwest pub close to Essex Road.
